It presents the same ultra-slim design with an exceptional touchscreen and detachable keyboard like other premium convertibles. Balanced hardware selection and a not expensive price tag make the Linx 12X64 tablet stand out among other 2-in-1 laptops.

For those who are looking for a cheap Surface Pro alternative, the Linx 12X64 is a good pick. You can buy it at a much cheaper price this Holiday sale. Below is our Linx 12X64 review in which we have evaluated its design and display as well as keyboard functionality and overall performance.

The specs selection on this 2-in-1 Windows tablet is modest but not bad at this price. Let’s indulge ourselves into full Linx 12X64 review and see what it has to offer.

Display & Design

Linx 12x64 Design

Linx has really worked well to keep the design on this convertible minimalistic yet elegant. To cut the corners, its exterior chassis is made of simple plastic which feels hard. In addition, there is an adjustable metal kickstand for support which adds an extra layer of protection over the lower half.

During our Linx 12X64 review, we find it a lightweight tablet which is easy to carry around. As a whole, it weighs about 3.7lbs (1.7kg) while the tab alone weighs around 2lbs (930g). But one of the best features of this Linx tab is its touchscreen display. This is a responsive screen which allows you to access data files with a snap.

It features a 12.5-inch display with wide bezels which shortens the size of the screen to almost 12 inches. This is an IPS-equipped FHD display which at its price is a great deal considering the 1080p screen resolution. With a contrast ratio of 1148:1, this LCD panel delivers a maximum brightness of 0.25cd/m2.

Keyboard Functionality

Linx 12x64 Keyboard

Linx tablet comes with a detachable keyboard which gets attached to the magnetic strip that is placed at the bottom of the tab. This is a modest keyboard deck which is made of pseudo-leather material. It lacks stiffness but works well and offer a smooth user experience whether you are working on the table or sitting in your couch.

The trackpad on this Linx tablet is the same as its keyboard, modestly satisfactory. We found its performance pleasing while we were using this 2-in-1 as a laptop.

Hardware Selection & Performance

Linx 12x64 Hardware

The 12.5-inch FHD tablet features Windows 10 OS with a 4GB memory and the Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor. This is a quad-core Cherry Trail CPU whose clock speed can range from 1.44 GHz to 1.92 GHz. However, the eMMC storage and its limited 64 GB capacity take a toll on the performance.

We used this Linx tablet for browsing, word processing, and streaming Netflix. The visual quality of its display truly mesmerised us during the Linx 12X64 review. We were happy to get crispy visuals with details and vivid background. The tab also worked well as a convertible and we faced no issues in using it as a laptop or a tablet.

Overall, the 12X64 tab performed well but this is a tablet for everyday use. You cannot expect it to run heavy software, designing programs, or heavy games like PUBG.

Battery Life

This is another area where we were pleased with the performance during our Linx 12X64 review. The brand has loaded it with 9000 mAh battery which means you will not have to worry about low battery. For a multitasking 2-in-1 laptop, the Linx 12X64 did well in our battery evaluation test.

We used it continuously for browsing the web, writing, and streaming and were able to secure around 7 hours of performance. On the bright side, the fact that it can be charged by USB port makes it an ideal companion.

Final Thoughts

We found it an amazing device in our Linx 12X64 review and we were amazed by it. A long-lasting battery, FHD touchscreen, detachable keyboard, and Windows 10 OS are its highlights. So, if you are looking for a cheaper version of Surface Pro, you must go for the Linx12X64.
