The specs on paper roar a solid performance and a perfect amalgamation of specs. While in the processor you get AMD for gaming performance, the RAM is added wisely with 8GB. On the storage side, you will see more than one option for storage including HDD and SSD. The mid-tier graphics include the Geforce GTX 1650 series GPU setting which is also good for mid-intense or heavy gaming.

Build, Design & Look

Our most favourite part about the PC is its beautiful, SLICK and RGB lighting design. There is a transparent side of the PC that shines with all the RGB embedment inside with the components. While all the CPU is covered in matte black, one side of the CPU is totally translucent, and you can have an inside look at all the ports including GPU. You will also find the GeForce logo written in a big bold font that highlights with the RGB lighting.

The front of the PC has diagonal cut that it wholly filled with RGB colour modes. You can change the colours according to your will, but the neon colour RGB lighting stands out with the logo. Above the diagonal, the front is designed with a raised bump, while the lower side is contained with the grills. These air vents also help producing minimum to no noise at all when the PC is under heavier performance. The Republic of Gamers logo on the front comes in a shiny black contrast that goes well with the overall scheme.

Additionally, the PC weighs around 10 kg with the dimensions of 48.1 x 42.1 x 18.9. The stunning face plate makes the PC look sleek and slim, while the glass cover also adds to the elegant attire. Even though, it is quite heavy to be moved from here and there, the looks defy the fact.

Performance – Gaming and More

Armed with a rock-solid CPU, the ASUS ROG Strix come with an embodiment of a gaming beast. The AMD power is combined with the solid-state drive, and additionally the hard-disk drive storage. From a gamer’s point of view, the PC performs the right way and most of the games can be easily played at 60 fps or more with full HD Resolution. This gaming PC is also great for esports and can be played on easily at or above 120fps, having FHD Resolution.

The benchmark scores come out exactly what they should be and hence we were impressed by its performance. The AMD Ryzen 5 processor equipped in this gaming PC boasts a maximum turbo speed of 3.8 GHz. You can play AAA title games with intensive speeds and high-intensity graphics without delays or slowdowns. The dedicated graphics included in the PC are Geforce GTX 1650 from NVIDIA. The real-world tests showed a powerful speed, crisp and rich graphics for games like Fortnite and PUBG.

You can also easily upgrade the PC that lets you upgrade your GPU with a better and newer version. Even though you are already getting a great GPU setting, there is always an option to upgrade. There is no PCIe x16 slot which could have been added, especially considering it is a gaming desktop PC.

Ports

The ports included in the ASUS ROG Strix are not more or less, but enough for everyday usage. On the front side, there is a USB Type A, USB Type C, a microphone, and a headphone jack. The rear side has two USB Type A 3.2 ports, four USB 3.2 Type A Gen 1 ports, one D-Sub, one DVI-D, an RJ-45 connector and three audio jacks. There is also Bluetooth 5.1 slot for added connectivity so you can enjoy faster connections to any device.

Verdict

The overall performance of the ASUS ROG Strix is excellent for its value. The components and hardware attached with this ASUS gaming PC are well-balanced and come with advanced speed. You do not necessarily get a power beast, but it performs smoothly in what it promises. In the price factor, it is not the cheapest and not expensive as well.
