OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G Review

Expectedly a mid-range smartphone, but the OPPO Reno4 Pro prioritizes to be a little higher in cost with its style and features. OPPO Reno series has produced consecutive number of android phones with affordable prices. But some of the latest productions may seem a tad bit costlier than before. The OPPO Reno4 Pro is an appealing OPPO mobile phone but may lose its importance owing to better mid-rangers.

The spectacular sleek attire of the OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G is enough to gaze, plus there is a compatible specs array. OPPO has made sure to include potent Snapdragon 5g chip, an AMOLED 90 Hz display and fast charging speed. There’s no doubt that it has some of the most wanted specs in the list, but it is however dependable on your priority.

The Look, Style & Build

The appearance of the OPPO Reno4 Pro is large and finely polished enough that you think it is a premium mobile phone. Majorly, it comes in two colours including Space black and galactic blue. While the blue is unique and glossier, the black one is traditionally classic. The thinness and weight of the mobile are pretty much on the average side, like the other OPPO phones. It weighs around 172g and can be easily slipped in the pocket, without special hand adjustment.

Interestingly, the phone is designed in a similar way to the Find X2 Neo, which is from a premium Find X2 series. It feels really slim to view and hold, just like the Neo. The front and back both are made of glass and slightly curved towards the edges. The screen takes more space around the display with narrower bezels and skinny edges.

The glossier surface is a delight to hold, while some of the rough edges can be ignored. The camera housing is done in an iconic way with three cameras vertically aligned. It is surrounded by the rounded rectangle, giving a smooth and refined look.

Display – AMOLED Display

If you have always loved an AMOLED screen panel, you will love the OPPO Reno4 Pro too. It features an FHD+ AMOLED screen that exhibits clear brightness and vivid colours. The super-smooth refresh-rate of 90 Hz is yet another good news that you can easily switch between apps. It helps using different apps, programs, or social media quite easily altogether, when you are moving around constantly.

We don’t often see a Quad HD Resolution phone in the market, so the Reno4 Pro has another plus point. There is a punch-hole selfie camera adjusted in the mobile phone that delivers good results. You also get a maximum brightness around 500 nits, for using it under sunlight. Clearly, the Reno4 Pro has got a vivid and bright panel, so binge-watching and playing games is much fun.

Camera – The 48 MP Goodness

The rear side of the OPPO Reno4 Pro ahs triple layer camera setup. The primary camera lens of 48 MegaPixel is followed by the ultra-wide-angle lens of 12 Mega Pixels. The third camera is the zoom lens of 13 MP, which is useful for taking close-up pictures.

The macro shots from this camera came out to be pretty decent, with detailed crispness. The 5x hybrid zoom camera is available which captures good, rocketed picture quality  You can switch the zoom between 0.6x, 1x, 2x and 5x, which is amazing. There is also auto-focus used in the camera, so if you are not that good for focusing, it can automatically focus. The selfie camera uses Artificial Intelligence focus to give bright and bold colours. You can also take portrait shots from the front camera, while there are several other modes available.

Performance & Battery

The popular 700 series processor chip is common and delivers great speed for overall mobile phone activities. The OPPO Reno4Pro features a Snapdragon 765G processor, which has octa core speed. It can be one of the reasons you can count this OPPO phone to be a solid midrange smartphone. The 12GB RAM is massive and clearly indicates that you can get use of demanding apps easily. It comes paired up with the 256GB storage, which is great to have in a cellphone. If we talk about running top-tier games, they are not that fast as high-end phones, but there’s no major difference.

The 4000 mAH battery power of the phone is standard for most of the OPPO mobiles. It is able to take the phone through the daytime and sometimes even the midnight. Plus, the SuperVOOC 2.0 charger can charge the phone entirely in less than an hour.

Verdict

Not all phones can be exactly labelled as if they are a mid-ranger, a flagship or low-budget mobile. The OPPO Reno4 Pro strikes a balance between flagship and mid-range. But it does not disappoint in what it states. With its latest specs’ inclusion and great features, you can enjoy every bit of it. We’d totally recommend this phone, especially if you are looking for the same specs in any of the phones.
