When Apple rolled out its new iPhone 11 Pro, we had a lot of people ask us questions such as, ‘What’s new about this iPhone?’ It isn’t an unfair question, considering the fact that it looks very similar to the previous iPhone launched a year prior to this one. However, if you use the camera once, the difference and improvement will become even clearer to you, and the inquisitive looks will fade!

Although iPhone 12 has been honored with the title of ‘Apple’s latest smartphone’, iPhone 11 Pro is no less than the new model! Apparently, Apple has put in a lot of effort when it comes to the triple lens camera which offers brand new and ultra-wide perspectives. iPhone 11 Pro Design

Just a glance at iPhone 11 Pro, and you know this smartphone means business! To be brutally honest, the three large camera lenses that dominate the top left corner, do look a little bit intimidating at first. Compared to the iPhone 11, this iPhone doesn’t offer that much of a range of colours but its contemporary look is aesthetic as can be! It is available in midnight green, space grey, gold and silver.

What we loved about the iPhone 11 Pro was its matte finish which not only resists fingerprints but it’s also less slippery than other glass phones. Another feature that adds to the durability of this phone is its ability to withstand being submerged in up to 4 meters for up to 30 minutes. It has a waterproof rating of IP68.

On the downside however, there are certain things that bring down the overall score of this new iPhone’s design. To begin with, it is much heavier compared to its predecessors, iPhone XS, and XR. If you look closely, you’ll also notice that it is considerably thicker, and wider too. Nevertheless, it still remains a very compact phone that is easy and convenient to use.

Display and Audio

IPhone 11 Pro’s OLED panel is quite attractive, thanks to its wide color support and ultra-wide viewing angles. The sound is surprisingly just as captivating. This is all due to the spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. We were absolutely thrilled to watch the See trailer on iPhone 11 Pro. It gave us the impression of actual rain splattering which was only happening in front of us on a phone’s screen. You can yourself judge the quality of the audio based on this judgement!

iPhone 11 Pro Cameras

Now comes the most interesting part: the cameras! There is no doubt that in today’s world of social media dominance, cameras are perhaps the most crucial feature that needs to be considered when buying a smartphone. The more advanced a smartphone, the better its camera is going to be. And that is absolutely true in the case of the iPhone 11 Pro too!

It starts with a trio of 12-megapixel sensors, each tied to a different type of lens to offer a unique perspective on your surroundings. Apple has widened the aperture to ƒ/2.0, up from ƒ/2.4 in last year’s flagship to let in more light. Plus the latest camera of this smartphone delivers a 120-degree field of view, akin to a 0.5x zoom.

The best part is, Apple’s new night mode feature can now finally outrun Google’s and Samsung’s results with its highly detailed pictures captured in low lighting!

iPhone 11 Pro Performance

Thanks to the iPhone 11 Pro’s A13 Bionic chip, Apple once again has the world’s fastest phone! This processor offers 20% faster CPU, GPU and machine-learning performance.

The iPhone wasn’t much faster compared to its predecessor when it came to our real-world performance test. It took the phone 46 seconds to export a 4K video to 1080p after applying a colour filter and transition.

iPhone 11 Pro Battery Life

One of the most important feature of a smartphone is its battery life. Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro performed pretty well considering its size! The Phone was able to function for more than 10 hours on average. That is pretty impressive!

It is finally relieving to see Apple bundle a charges with their iPhone. The iPhone 11 Pro’s 18-watt charger was able to reach 55% juice in only 30 minutes.

Although it may seem a little overpriced considering its slight improvements, it is a great handset that you could purchase! You get the best cameras, with class-leading performance and an OLED display that outshines most Android phones. What more do you need!
